Plenty of what goes wrong with a window or a door out here has a simple answer, and you are welcome to the same information we use. Start with what the problem usually turns out to be. If you would rather we dealt with it, the form above is all we need.
The seal between the two panes has failed and the desert heat gets the blame for most of it. The glass itself can usually be replaced without touching the frame, so this is a smaller job than it looks.
Nine times in ten it is grit packed into the track. Vacuum it out, then run a dry cloth along the track. If it still drags after that, the rollers are worn, and rollers are a replaceable part on most doors we fit.
Condensation on the room side of the glass is humidity in the house meeting cold glass. It is not a failed window. Moisture trapped between the panes, where you cannot wipe it off, is a different thing and that one is worth reporting.
Doors move with the seasons. Usually the strike plate or a hinge needs a small adjustment and the door itself is fine.
Rescreening is a small job and we can usually take the frame too if it has been knocked out of square.
Separate documents for replacement and new construction windows, so check which one you have.
Crystal asks for claims within 30 days of finding the problem, so do not sit on it.
Their terms sit inside the FAQ page. Coverage depends on registering within 90 days of delivery.
Warranties are sorted by the date your windows were made, not the date they went in.
Coverage stays with the original owner and does not pass to whoever buys the house next.
Their warranty document is not posted on the site at the moment. Support can get you the right paperwork.

Mostly architectural glazing. Their entry door coverage runs two years and applies to dealer supply.

Some of it is not worth repairing, and we would rather say so. An older aluminium slider with a failed seal and worn rollers is usually a candidate for replacing, and you get a better window out of it. We can look at one opening or the whole house, and there is no charge for coming out to measure and price it.

Several of these manufacturers will not take a claim from a homeowner at all. It has to come through the dealer, and for anything we installed, that is us. If a brand above only gives you a phone number, call our office and we will handle it from our end.
Not sure which brand you have? On a window, the name is usually etched into a corner of the glass. On a door, check the edge for a sticker. If you cannot find it, send a photo with your request and we will work it out.
