How our price match works

You'll live with your new windows and doors every day for years, and we want you proud of them and happy with what you paid. Getting more than one bid makes good sense. If another licensed California contractor gives you a lower written quote for the same job, share it with your salesperson and ask about a price match.

How it works

One of our salespeople comes out to your home, takes rough measurements and puts your quote together. The price match covers homes, condos and HOA community projects, from one window to a whole community. Share any lower written quote for the same job with them before you sign with us. You'll know whether we can match before we send you a contract to sign. If we can, you get a revised quote at the matched price, good for 30 days like all our quotes. If we can't, we tell you why in writing.

What counts as the same job

• The same products. The same manufacturer and product line, in the same sizes and options (glass, color, grids and hardware), and products we can order. If a few openings are for products we can't order and the other quote prices them separately, we match the rest.
• The same installation. The same method, whether retrofit, full frame or stucco popouts, and the same finish work.
• The same included work. Measuring, any permit and HOA approval your job needs, Title 24 paperwork, protecting your home and hauling away the old units.
• The same warranties. A written installation warranty of at least one year, and at least the same manufacturer warranty.

What the other quote needs

• It's in writing from a contractor with an active California license, made out to you for your home, or to your HOA for a community project.
• It includes installation, and it's dated within the last 30 days and still open on the day we first get a copy.
• It shows a total price and what that price covers. It doesn't need line-by-line prices.

How we compare

Total against total, for the whole job. Permit fees are left out of both, because the city or county sets them separately. Manufacturer rebates and gift cards you qualify for stay yours, and financing offers aren't part of the comparison. It's one match per job, and you get whichever is lower: the matched price or our price with any discount you already have.

What isn't included

• Verbal or ballpark prices, and materials-only, online or store prices
• Installed quotes from national home improvement store chains
• Clearance, discontinued or display products
• Commercial, apartment-building and other business projects

Good to know

• We decide every match in good faith using these rules, and we may decline a quote that appears to have been altered. Either way, you get our reason in writing.
• We use the other quote only to check your match.
• We may change or end the price match by updating this page. The rules on the day you share a quote are the ones that apply, and a match we confirm in writing stays in place.
