Fall Front Door Décor

Decorating your Door for Fall

Fall Front Door Decor School is back in session, the weather is finally beginning to cool down, stores everywhere already have their Halloween decorations out and the sweet smell of pumpkin spice is beginning to fill the air. All this can only mean one thing: fall is here! How are you decorating your home for the new season? Let’s break out of some of the more traditional front door decorations this year and try something new. Our door design experts have some trendy fall front door décor ideas to help you create a new entry way look that will have your neighbors asking you for help with their front door too!

Fall Front Door Décor Ideas

Spice up your front door and entry way with some new designs. While pumpkins and leaf wreaths are always a nice touch to your fall front door décor, let’s add some new foliage to your home this year. Here are some fun and easy DIY door hangers that you can make instead of a wreath:

  • Rake Head Wreath – repurpose an old rake head as a rustic substitute for a traditional wreath. Add a burlap sack bow and some faux leaves for a rustic chic and unique look.
  • A Burlap Sack Bouquet – grab a burlap sack, stuff it with flowers and pumpkins of all different colors and hang it from your door to show just how excited you are for the fall season.
  • Wheat Sheaf – If you’re looking for a more simple and elegant approach, try a beautiful wheat sheaf instead of a leaf wreath.
  • Chalkboard Sign – Buy one already made or make one of your own with chalkboard paint. Add your favorite phrase and some festive branches and berries for the perfect finish

If having a door piece isn’t enough, take your front door décor to the next level with some of these other complimentary fall front door décor ideas:

  • Add mini pumpkins and gourds for some extra color
  • Invest in seasonal flowers to plant in pots around the door
  • Create an eye-catching front door with a rustic leaf garland
  • Put hand painted signs in planters that have seasonal sayings and phrases such as “give thanks” or “harvest time”
