The Technical Difference: Nail Fin Installation

Unlike retrofit windows, new construction windows use a "Nail Fin" (or Nail Flange). This fin allows the window to be integrated directly into the building's weather-resistive barrier (paper/Tyvek) before the stucco is applied.
