Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

This privacy policy outlines how California Window & Door, Inc. uses and protects the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of those visiting our blog, website, or app. PII, as defined in US privacy law and information security, includes information that can identify, contact, or locate an individual. We encourage you to read this policy to understand our practices regarding your PII.

Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information, such as your name, email address, and phone number, when you order or register on our site. This helps us enhance your experience.

The BidMaster Measure App

Our BidMaster Measure mobile app is used by our staff, and by customers we invite, to measure windows and doors for a quote.

Camera. The app requires access to your device’s camera. The camera is used to measure openings and to photograph them. The app does not access your microphone or your location, and it does not record video or audio.

What the app collects. Photographs of the windows, doors and surrounding areas you measure; the dimensions and descriptions of those openings; and technical details about how each measurement was taken, such as the distance and angle of the device. These are recorded against the customer record for the property, together with the name, address, phone number and email address associated with that quote.

Measuring by invitation. If we send you a link by text message to measure your own openings, you do not need an account. The measurements and photographs you submit are attached to your customer record so that we can prepare your quote.

Where it is stored. Photographs and measurements are stored on secure, access-controlled cloud services operated on our behalf — currently Supabase — and are not publicly accessible. Only authorized California Window & Door personnel can view them.

Keeping and deleting your information. We keep quote photographs and measurements for as long as we need them to prepare and honor your quote, complete any work, and meet our warranty and legal obligations. You may ask us to delete the photographs and measurements we hold about your property at any time by emailing it@californiawindowanddoor.net. We will confirm once it is done.
